**Summary:** Updated workflow via a single page input form to improve the visitor walk in creation experience, enabling support for keyboard shortcuts to support tablet usage.

**What’s New?**

We’re excited to introduce a redesigned walk-in visitor creation experience in Equiem’s Visitor Management System! This update streamlines the entire process into a single-page, intuitive form with enhanced usability, keyboard shortcuts, and tablet-friendly navigation.

- **Keyboard Shortcuts:** Use quick keys for efficient navigation and input.
- **Tablet Optimised:** Responsive design works seamlessly on touch devices.
- **Smarter Host/Visitor Selection:** Simplified search, filters, and auto-save for manual entries.

## How to create a walk in

### **Step 1: Open Walk-In Form**

1. From **Reception View**, click **“Create Walk-In”**.

### **Step 2: Enter Visitor Details**

- Start typing the visitor’s name—select from suggestions or click **“Add Visitor”** at the bottom to create a new one.

### **Step 3: Select Host**

- Choose the **company** first to filter hosts.
- Pick a host or click **“Add Host”** to manually enter one (saved automatically).

### **Step 4: Set Duration**

- Use the dropdown to select a duration (E.g. 1 hour, 2.5 hours).

### **Step 5: Save & Finish**

- Hit `Enter` or click **“Check In”**.

## Shortcuts

| Navigate between right and left side in the section | `CONTROL + OPTION + ARROW KEYS [Left/Right] ` |
| Navigate through suggested users list | `ARROW KEYS [Up/Down]` |
| Move between dropdown items | `ARROW KEYS [Up/Down]` |
| Select highlighted user | `Enter` (when button is focused) |
| Add visitor or host | `Enter` (when button is focused) |
| Check In | `Enter` (when button is focused) |
