## Overview

Request Managers can create and manage requests on behalf of users or themselves directly in Equiem One. This is helpful for reporting issues raised by visitors or on behalf of occupiers who are unable to access/not registered to the platform.

## Example Use Cases

1. **Tenant calls in, reporting a problem**
  - Scenario**:** A tenant calls the facilities manager to report a broken air conditioner in their office.
  - Action**:** The Request Manager logs the request on behalf of the tenant, assigning it to the facilities team for immediate resolution and associating the request to the reporter in order to maintain resolution updates.
2. **Vendor or Contractor raising a maintenance need**
  - **Scenario:** A contractor working in the building identifies a problem with the HVAC system during a routine inspection.
  - **Action:** The Request Manager logs the issue on behalf of the contractor and assigns it to the relevant service team.

## Step-by-Step

1. Open Equiem One and select Request Management from the left-hand menu
2. Select New Request button
3. Select the building, level and space the request relates to
4. Select the status, for example, Not Started
5. Then choose the Category and Subcategory. If you have a CAFM integration, selecting the Subcategory is essential in order for the request information to pass across systems.

6. Choose the Request Reporter from the list available. If the reporter is a registered user of the platform, you can add them here. Otherwise, you can select yourself.
7. If you need to add any Watchers, you can select them from the drop down here. They will need to be a registered user of the platform.
8. Select a Request Assignee from the Assignee drop down, for example, your cleaning manager. You can do this step later if required.
9. If you need to change the reporting date or time, you can do so using the date picker provided.

10. Add a description of the issue.
11. Add any photos or files, if required.
12. Once complete, press the Open Request button.

The request will now be visible on the Request Management homepage. Any Request Managers for the Queue will be notified, and if you’ve added a Request Assignee, they will be notified too.
